We loved our time at the Mercure Kensington. It's location is beyond convenient. The breakfast is marvelous and will last until afternoon tea. The staff are helpful and caring. Highly recommend. We'll be back.

Marvelous Mercure in Kensington. The staff make the stay ,they go over and above to be caring and helpful.Comfy beds ,rooms well insulated from noise.Slightly old fashioned but everything works well. Superb breakfast with everything you need piping hot,willingly served in a lovely restaurant. Nice little bar area as well ,again with courteous bar lady.

Worst hotel and service I have ever experienced in my whole life The hotel is generally dirty and poorly maintained The room was tiny even by UK standards (barely room for one suitcase), stank and was freezing due to lack of heating. Very uncomfortable mattress. There’s no fridge so forget about cold drinks The bathroom was actually a shower cubicle. The toilet regularly refused to flush. Shower controls would’ve been modern in the 60’s Not to mention the consistently unhelpful staff. The general manager Lisa Kearney is the rudest woman I have ever encountered. It is painfully obvious that she scares the front desk staff. I believe she is not prepared for a customer-oriented job - it is evident that all she cares about the clients is their money in her pocket Impossible to recommend this to anyone. There’re plenty of hotels in the area which won’t stiff you this way

I really like this hotel. The location is so great, it's near by earl's court station. So I stayed this hotel 3 times. But yesterday when I packing my luggage, I couldn't find my white shirt. So weird. I hung my shirt in the closet. I told to the reception and he said if he finds the shirt, he'll send it to me. But It's so precious shirt to me , so It feels bad.

As other reviewers have said, the rooms are absolutely tiny, but for a couple of nights that's fine. The wall sockets in our room were in super weird places, but because the room is so small it doesn't really matter. The location is absolutely perfect, though. A five minute walk from Earls Court station and 10 minutes from the shops on high street Kensington. For the price, it's really not bad. I am only giving three stars though because I think it's incredibly misleading to call this a 4-star hotel. Amenities, room comfort, and just general vibe is definitely more of a 3-star hotel. If you are a light sleeper, I would definitely give this a pass because you can hear everything outside the room. If you are expecting a great hotel experience, I would splurge a bit more and go for something else. If you are just concerned with a decent hotel in a nice area of the city, this is fine.
